Reports Report 944e (Event 944-2011)

Observer
Name Krissy
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I am unable to report exactly where I was on the map, as I was driving. It was definitely on Hwy 480 heading NW from Campti to Coushatta, my route at work (I'm a truck driver). It seemed to travel north, and seemed mostly horizontal. I can't remember if it had an upward or downward slant or not. I saw the sky light up with a greenish tint. I thought I was close to the airport and was just seeing the flash of light from the tower, then when I ducked my head down and looked up and to the left through the windshield, I saw the meteor. It was traveling slowly. When the meteor disappeared, the trail lasted for several seconds before quickly fading. The whole thing that I saw, I remember it being white, maybe yellow-white, though there may have been some green from how the sky lit up. I didn't think to pay that much attention to the colors that much because I didn't know I could report them, so I really just remember it being very bright, one of the brightest meteors I've ever seen.
