Reports Report 3159a (Event 3159-2017)

Observer
Name Michelle S
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks When I was 12 I was in the mountains of Nevada for the peak of the perseids shower - hundreds of long shootings stars per minute for hours. Seeing this fire ball ranks with that experience. There are buildings and trees and it came into my view and left it at almost the same height in the sky. I could see the burning. My fiancé saw it as well but didn't have his glasses on so it was a bit more blurry than what I saw but this thing was huge. At first I thought maybe a plane was going down far away, but I saw that when I was a kid. They fall pretty quick when they explode , but this didn't fall, it didn't even look like it was going to end soon, but the trees got in the way and the drive way is very long to get to clear sky view so we didn't try.
