| Remarks | I went out on our dock after the moon set to watch for northern lights. Right after I got to the dock I thought that someone threw a flaming ball or firework over my head. It seemed so close, I expected to hear it land in the lake. It looked like it was about 6" in diameter with a short fire tail. I got off the dock to figure out what was going on. It took me a bit to figure out what it must have been and that it was much further away. It was unreal - there was no one around. Quite an experience, unlike any other shooting stars I have seen. I was so glad to find this website when investigating what I had seen and to know that I was not the only one to witness the "great ball of fire"! |
