I was surprised to see it during the day! I was sitting on the patio facing south enjoying the last if the day's sunshine looking for a bird in a tree about 100 ' away. It came into view above the tree & so caught my attention since I was already looking in that direction. It was in my direct line of sight. It was very bright & large & while the sun was shining. Amazing! My first daytime sighting!
