Remarks a single bright wide yellow streak which became wider and several distinctly separate streaks followed the larger of the fragments without losing intensity

Remarks throughout the event small explosions caused terminal independent fragments but the main fireball seemed to remain the same size, right above the horizon a major explosion broke the meteor into several smaller but no less bright parts which disappeared from view behind a mountan about ten miles east of my location whose ridge runs north south.
