I have seen 5 of these in my lifetime, I am 22. But looking into the night sky just to appreciate the stars and constellations is something I've done every night since I was a child. The first one I ever saw was when I was 7 years old, and it would have been missed at the blink of an eye, but I was fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of its hardly 1 second long lifespan, just an instant, bright yellow line in the stormy, night sky. The one I am reporting now though was the longest, and brightest I've ever seen, it is also the first one I've reported. I didn't see it's inititial greeting, but my backyard got a little brighter for a moment and that is when I looked up to watch this meteorites life come to an end. My eyes were set on it for maybe 3 seconds. I believe I reported 5-10 seconds, but that is closer to 5 bc I only saw this light disappear, idk how long it was there before I set my eyes on it.
