| Remarks | I live north of St. Louis with an eastern view, and I'm used to seeing planes on their approach or departure from Lambert airport in the same general direction. This object was much larger and brighter than any plane, yet for the distance it traveled was a lot faster than a commercial jet. It appeared to me initially as a bright greenish-white, but as it dropped towards the horizon it turned a dark fiery red before disappearing, with just a hint of a tail. |
