Remarks I was sitting outside watching the sky admiring the stars as it was very clear out tonight. I first noticed the meteor as it appeared suddenly and as intense as an airplane landing light but was a bright white color. It lasted about 6 seconds and slowly grew dim before turning orange right before fading to nothing. I immediately checked the time and it was precisely 12am midnight. I've seen a few similar events in the past but this one was exceptionally bright having the surrounding sky flicker.
