I may not have seen it when it first appeared. I first saw it through my oak tree so it could have been obstructed from view. With that said maybe I saw it when it first appeared. Just can't be certain.

It appeared to be breaking up before I lost sight of it as it dropped below the roof line of my neighbors house. It was getting wider and a brighter orange.
