Because off the light being emitted, I saw the shape of the object. The front was horseshoe shaped with the two points forward. there was a hollowed area between them that had more of a shadow (less light) in it. It seemed to be at a low altitude. The way the trail was coming off of it (very billowing and jagged) made me expect a vaporization or fracturing. I couldn't believe the detail I could see when it was directly overhead for 1-2 seconds. Very cool.
