Remarks I have seen several "falling stars" throughout the years, but they appeared to be much higher up in the sky and generally falling straight down and didn't last nearly as long. This appeared much lower and closer. Also, it's trajectory was parallel to the earth moving South to North.

Remarks Bright white with some green as well like a comet streaking behind for approx. 8 to 10 seconds then a multitude of sparks it then appeared to break into 2 balls with the trailing ball being smaller and fizzelling out, while the larger lead ball continuing on same course with a tail for at least another 5 + seconds.
