Experience Level 2/5
Remarks April 14, 2017 9:30/10pm My husband and I were in upstate New York/Mohawk Valley area and saw a massive fireball fly clear across the sky. It was really big and close. It arched across the sky from south to north I believe it was. It was blue with a long white tail and a red tip! The red tip ended up breaking off and flaring downward away from the tail. The tail continued moving north. It was the biggest and brightest meter we've ever seen. It was sometime between 9:30 & 10pm Friday night. It was beautiful!!!
