Glowing w/lots of smoke. Almost made it look like there were clouds but it was a clear night at that time.

Started out looking like a very large meteor but then flashed to brighten up the surrounding sky. Looked kind of like a very bright cloud lightning but then fragments role off and went in every direction surrounded by smoke.
