The sound was extremely loud - I was somewhat surprised there were no car alarms going off or lights turning on in the neighborhood. My dog is still a little skiddish and it is several hours later.

First was a loud bang, as if something hit the side of the house. The house shook on the first sound and then 2 or 3 smaller bangs followed in less than a second. Similar to echoes after a loud Thunder in a severe storm.
