Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 10s
Length 20°
Remarks The smoke train is what I saw in the sky and is what I was thinking of when I answered the first part of this that asked about where in the sky did I see a fireball. I was looking at the person sitting next to me, the sky lit up EVERYWHERE with a bright flash, then we look up and saw a huge smoke train. It was white with some red or orange like a fire was ending. The big part of the ball of the smoke train was highest in the sky and the train gradually got slender, it hung low and winded back up in the sky on the right side from the angle I saw it. And it had one more wind, on my right again and this was it's end and it was pointing down towards earth. It was extremely bright and white, thick (not see through, and as it dimmed, it grew in length. But I only saw it for a few seconds and the sky was back to dark like normal.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks The entire sky, behind me, in front, both sides of me and above went bright as the sun in one split second and was gone just as quick. I didn't hear anything, but I ducked my head and looked in all directions, I guess UP was my last direction because the smoke train lot up that part of the sky. When the flash surprised me, I was looking for the Oklahoma thunderstorm that I let sneak up on me. But...not one rumble of thunder.
