Remarks | My husband and I were driving in parking lot going toward and about 50 feet from front left corner of Food Lion and saw it coming down at a pretty sharp downward descent angle from about three or four stories high (Food Lion is one-story building). It disappeared on the other side of the building. It looked very close but not more than one-half mile away. We could see a lot of color detail - stripes of mostly red with orange, yellow and blue. It looked maybe a little larger than a volleyball with train of fire... It disappeared from our sight on the other side of Food Lion sort of at the back right corner. From our angle, it looked like it looked like it was landing somewhere just behind the Food Lion Grocery Store so much so that we drove behind the store to see if there was smoke, etc. visible but did not see anything else. A spectacular sight it was!! |
