Remarks | I have seen about 10 fireballs in my 61 years. Some bright enough to cast a distinct shadow and having delayed sonic boom,. This was the most colorful blue-green to green and as fast as the Leonids. If this was a Leonid, I have never seen a Leonid fireball. The entry direction was generally in the direction Leo will rise about 3 AM. Leonids don't peak for 9 more days. I 1-5the 2001 Leonids from Dhahran, Saudi Arabia at 5000/hr but all were Mag 1-5. |
