Tony Mallama

Professional Accomplishments: Provided science and engineering support for numerous high-tech projects, such as the Hubble Space Telescope, under NASA contracts with Computer Sciences Corporation (1975-1983) and the Raytheon Company (1983 to present). Published more than 30 papers in refereed scientific journals.

Hardware Systems Experience: Implemented a robotic telescope system using off-the-shelf components, and customized software. Supported development of an automated NASA telescope for satellite tracking. Invented a thermal IR cloud detector/mapper for observatories. Developed a radio/computer system for the detection of meteors, under a grant from NASA.

Professional Memberships: American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Geophysical Union, and the American Astronomical Society.

Other interests: Photography and wooden boats.
