Introduction

The data during the first half of 2005 is presented in tabular form listing all the shower active during the winter and spring seasons. The data presented during the second half of the year is presented in a more consolidated form which should be easier to read and understand.

Abbreviations

Most abbreviations are self explainatory. A few of the more obscure ones plus the meteor shower abbrevations are listed below:

Teff - The effective observing observing time

Sol.Lg - The solar longitude of the mid-point of each period.

L.M. - The average limiting magnitude of the observer's field of view during each period.

F - The correction for obstacles such as clouds or trees in the observer's field of view during each period. A ten percent coverage of ones field of view would yield a correction of 1.11 (100 percent-10 percent = 90%), 100/90 = 1.11

SPO - Sporadic (ramdom) meteors

ANT - Anthelion meteors (from a source nearly 180 degrees from the sun)

COM - Coma Berenicids

QUA - Quadrantids

CBR - Corona Borealids

XBO - Xi Bootids

SER - Serpentids

AHY - Alpha Hydrids

TCE - Theta Centaurids

DLE - Delta Leonids

LYR - Lyrids

ETA - Eta Aquarids

IAA - Eta Lyrids (from Comet Iras-Araki-Alcock)

MCP - May Capricornids

OSC - Omega Scorpiids

XDR - Xi Draconids

JLY - June Lyrids

JBO - June Bootids

CAP - Alpha Capricornids

JPE - July Pegasids
