Remarks | This was a falling "star" rather than shooting. My wife and I observed it dropped straight down out of the sky very close in front of us, probably within 1-2 miles north of our location. It was fairly substantial in size and changed colors as it dropped. It looked very similar to an expired glowing firework dropping, but definitely much larger and originating from a much higher altitude. It was very exciting to see and know a fairly large looking meteorite fell very close to our home! |
