Remarks | I am not sure what it was. :) I've seen shooting stars and this was not like that in any way. It was sudden, in that a big bright white ball of light just appeared and then went out like a dying flame losing color and size and brightness. I thought maybe it was a satellite that caught a reflection of the sun, but it was way too big for that I think. Even though it only lasted a few seconds, it was long enough to watch it and say to myself three times... what is THAT? It did not streak across the sky, but it moved slowly. I was say it was moving away from me and never appeared to get lower in the sky. |

Remarks | Laying in lounge chair looking up at stars. Over my head (facing sort of north east I guess - to the left of where the sun comes up in the morning) a really bright white light, much bigger then any star appeared ... like a fireball ... but was bright white. As I watched it, it got smaller and faded into nothing. Took about 6 or 7 seconds and it was gone. |
