after posting on facebook about the event i got reports back of people hearing the booms from south to north carver and people seeing the flash from Middleboro and as far north as Braintree, Ma

i heard a whooshing sound which caused me to look up and see the object. it took maybe 8 seconds before i heard the two booms that were very close together.

The fire ball was bright white as it passed almost directly overhead. it then took more of a shape of a fire ball then and traveled further across the sky. at which time it appeared to burn out and break apart with what looked like a burning piece fall off. The whole event occurred below the cloud cover as far as i could tell. though i did not notice the terminal flash because i started texting some friends about it a couple of friends had seen it.
