Remarks | This was over Las Vegas, which has incredible light pollution, and we were facing the brightest part of the city. Very few stars are visible in that area of the sky, but this was obvious. It wasn't bright enough or low enough to shed light on us (that I noticed), but it was bright enough to draw my attention up to see the last few degrees of it (little more than half a second, maybe?), including the fragmentation and brighter lights at the end. |

Remarks | Bright lights at the end as it split into two pieces. A brighter flash on the main piece, and a less bright flash on the the piece that looked like it broke off of the bottom. |
