I was startled by how bright it was. I was viewing from the freeway in the city looking north over a suburban area. I saw the meteor brighten in the sky and saw it streak perhaps at a 20 degree angle to the vertical. I recall seeing a bright ball portion near the front of the streak but not at the front. The ball appeared to be preceded by part of the streak.

Remarks
As the meteor fell it brightened, leaving a streaked path. Just before it disappeared it appeared to brighten, not exactly a flash.
