Reports Report 2500j (Event 2500-2016)

Observer
Name Bryan W
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks Wasn't actively looking, just happened to be looking that direction when it came down because I saw the bright trail start in my peripheral vision. I followed it for about 2 seconds and then it had a very bright flash barely above the treeline. Mentioned it to friends who seemed uninterested but can verify location and time.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks terminated in a very bright flash visible against ambient city light. Lit up sky in that section with about a 1 in. radius. Actual flash was about the 0.5 in. wide. Barely above tree line in that area. Can't tell if there was debris because of angle of termination. Too far for sound. It was nearing the end of dusk so I couldn't see any smoke trails. Pretty sure there was a plane or copter in the sky nearby because I saw the flashing lights of an obvious aircraft near where the light trail started.
