the angle of this lead me to believe it was quite high up. We watched for about a period of a 1 min 30 seconds before it disappeared into the horizon.

it was a bright almost white/yellow'ish it fell quite fast into the horizon, I watch planes all the time, this was a bout 10 times the speed(amateur guess)
