Reports Report 1882ng (Event 1882-2016)

Observer
Name Anna M
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I know I was scared and went blind for a very brief moment. When I got out of my car I did see one straight line of cloud like smoke directly above me. When I first saw the meteor, I thought the meteor was extremely close and I slowed down my car in order to avoid driving into the landing area. Also, the pieces looked like they would have hit the ground Northeast of my direction, around 101 and I-17.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks At first I saw what looked like to be the color of a lightening strike. Then saw a bright streaming light that followed a bright ball of fire. The ball of light flashed bright once, and then a second time even brighter than the first, and a third time which was less bright The light then fizzled out into about 30-40 small pieces and then nothing but smoke.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks I saw the biggest flash dead on, the sky lit up and turned blue as if it was day time and my eyes felt like I was looking at the Sun, but white and brighter. I went blind for a split second. The ball then looked as if it had broken into many small pieces that glowed light yellow and then turned dark very quickly afterwards.
