Remarks It was dark when I saw it. But when it got light, you could see a rainbow of colors in the sky where it was seen. It looked like smoke trails in all different directions. My husband said it looked like there was a missile launch. It stayed several hours before it disappeared.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks I had just gotten up for work and was drinking coffee in front of the tv and trying to wake up. The patio door was open because it was cool out. I saw the first flash, my first thought it was lightning but it was clear. I thought it might have been a police helicopter flying over with its search light on. Then another flash came that was much more brighter, it seemed to come closer and filled the entire sky, it was blinding. I watched in awe and saw the orange and pink tail pop off the bottom right side like fireworks. I still didn't know what was it and was scared because of the time of the morning. I told my husband that it looked like the meteor that passed in the sky in Russia. Then at 5:00am, the incident was reported on the news and confirmed my thinking.
