Remarks I am a pilot for a major cargo airline. The details I provided are approximate as I was at 38000 feet heading west to Phoenix. While I did not see the meteor directly, it lit up our cockpit to almost daylight. All other aircraft on center frequency reported seeing the meteor as well as the tower controller at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
