Remarks | I did not actually see the meteor in the sky. I saw several extremely bright flashes, like lightning, in a cloudless sky, saw the trail in the sky, then heard the rolling thunder about 2 minutes later while looking at the trail outside. The sound was enough to vibrate the house. I only estimate it was travelling slightly south of east (100 degrees) based on the trail appearing larger to the east where the trail disappeared. There is still a puff of a cloud at it's terminus 20 minutes after the event. |
