Reports Report 1918a (Event 1918-2016)

Observer
Name Karl R
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks What I saw did not *appear* to be a firework, although I should point out that it was a beautiful night and it's possible someone fired off a very large firework. It flickered along it's final moments, but I did not see any sign of breaking up and there definitely was no sound (I immediately pulled over, shut off the engine for sound, and took measurements (phone compass and angle level) in case this coordinates with another sighting). Color remained white at all times. I waited another five minutes, hoping that if it was fireworks someone might send up more. At the time of observation my car window was open (quiet part of town, radio off) and no sound was noticed. In the brief time it was visible I tried to tell if it was relatively close or high in the atmosphere, but frankly I saw it for too short a time to tell. Obviously I may have misread what I saw, but wanted to share in case this supported a better report. Cheers!
