Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks I turned to see it just after the initial explosion. 8 to 10 fragments were brightly streaking horizontally across the sky, leaving long bright trails behind each fragment for about 15 to 20 seconds. Two other people were there who saw the initial explosion. Fragments made a slow, stately journey across about 50 degrees of the sky before the largest faded from view. Doubt I will ever again see anything celestial to compare with this.
