Remarks It appeared to be the moon but then I realized it was closer and that's when the flash happened. Thought it was a search Helicopter at first in trying to explain it.

Remarks Thought the 'light' was the moon but in the wrong direction for that. Then it was bright like lightening but in a ball and the whole sky lit up. Next there was a 'ray/arc' downward.
