Remarks | I may not have my position exactly right, as I was driving on the highway when I saw it, eastbound, at about 70MPH. If there were any sounds, I couldn't hear them over the radio. When I did stop seeing it as it went out, it was still in my windshield, but about 50 degrees to the left. Shortly after it disappeared (about ten seconds), I passed under an overpass and then I saw an exit sign for Jonesburg, MO. It might also be important to mention that it was overcast that night, so this was below the cloud cover. That's why I could see the fragmentation. Also, the flight path appeared to be nearly perpendicular to the road. I definitely drove under it. |

Remarks | Colors were about the same as the rest of the fireball. Fragments broke off and moved in the same direction and speed, spreading out only slightly. |
