I have never seen anything like this in color or size. It appeared to be very close to me. I observed it as it went over the twin bridges on I-87. Another passenger in my car saw it as well.

Remarks
The fireball appeared about the size of a pencil eraser to me (versus a "normal" shooting star which is more like a pin prick in the sky). The greenish fireball had a trail about 2.5 to 3 times the length o the fireball.
