I've seen plenty of meteor showers and sporadics, but this thing was huge and appeared to be moving slowly so it must have been at a great distance from my point of observation.

The flaming trail got much wider at the end. It was persisting, so I could see the angle as the flaming trail widened. I think it was breaking into several parts.
