Name | Thorn M |
Experience Level | 1/5 |
Remarks | It was comet - like, with small bright yellow on the bottom part of the ball, bright green for most of it in the middle, and bright red just on the tip at the end. Was very fast, only lasted about 2-3 seconds. Was traveling north on 26 North in Vestal, NY, just past the turn off to Kopernik observatory, saw it way up in the sky going easterly to westerly. Was amazing. Thought it was a firework at first because of the color, but realized that it wasn't very quickly because of it's uniqueness and non-firework qualities...FYI, was on another weatherwatch site, and someone from Kentucky saw one at 2am this same morning...would have been jan. 8 2016 by that time. Mine was jan. 7 night. |
