Reports Report 4039v (Event 4039-2015)

Observer
Name Nancy S
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks Our location during viewing is precise within 50m. The time is approximate (between 18:00 and 19:00). The fireball appeared directly below Auriga, trailed down and northward, and exploded just before passing behind a butte. My directions and angles are guesstimates, but the appearance began about 1 fingerwidth below the bottom center of Auriga; a star map should help sort out angles.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks Fireball made bright white trail long enough for me to say "WOW WOW WOW LOOK!" and my partner to turn to look and see it. Then it turned blue, then flashed brighter blue, then exploded. There may have been a green shade during the explosion, but we aren't sure.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks When fireball exploded it sent fragments (at least 4, no more than 10) out in multiple directions. To the best of my knowledge the radials went in all directions instead of just toward the ground. The fragments' trails outward were white, maybe greenish white.
