The green came from nowhere then glowed strong. I try to keep my eyes in the skies for shooting stars. I thought this would burn quick but it kept tracking all the way past the horizon. There was a reddish tail trailing about an inch (from my vantage piont). Both my wife and I witnessed it at the same time. Just before over the horizon, it could still be seen through the trees. It was spectacular!
