Remarks | The meteor was to the east of the driveway where I was walking and it was very close, traveling at a steep downward angle in a northerly direction, parallel to the driveway. I noticed it when the first flash of light lit up my jacket like a strobe light (very amazing!) and then I turned my head eastward and slightly upward to see the second flash as it burst into another fireball of light. It very quickly burned out and disappeared just before it reached the trees near Wilder Hill Road. There was a long white streak of a tail just behind the two fireballs of light. It was over in about 3 seconds, and there was no noise. Very spectacular! |

Remarks | There were two extremely bright bursts of light, one right after another, so bright that it lit up my jacket just like a strobe light. It was very close to us and seemed to disintegrate just above the nearby trees. There was no sound at all. |
