Remarks | I was driving eastbound on the 210 freeway in downtown Pasadena near Colorado Blvd, and was in a streetlit, urban situation. The meteor was bright enough that I caught sight of it even though it was almost directly overhead, I leaned forward just in time to see it fragment into what looked like 3 pieces. Since it was already occurring when I caught sight, I am unsure of how long it was bright before I saw it. I was able to see the last 3 seconds of it. Was a good one! Afterwards I noted that the urban sky was too bright to see any stars so it must have been rather brilliant, and I've never seen a pure white color so that was pretty cool in itself. |
