This was the brightest meteor I have ever witnessed, I have never seen the bright explosion before. If there had been any sound or it had not appeared travelling down the sky I might have thought it was a firework.

There was abrighter flash, and a dimmer object carried on very briefly after the flash. There were some bright specks behind the object but these did not persist.
