It was a huge bright green ball. Just before I lost sight of it behind some close buildings it turned an orangey dark yellow. This is actually the third green event I saw. In the late 90's I saw a green flash on the horizon, as if something exploded. First around 9pm in the south (San Diego area) and then a year or so later approximately the same time in the east (Palm Desert area). On both of those evenings I was near the corners of Sage Rd. and Red Mountain Rd in Hemet.
