Remarks | Hi all, I was out last night observing on the 18th morning of the 19th with the 24” and when I was putting the scope away and I was walking out of the garage, I was looking downward when a bright light caught me, first thought was a car headlight coming down the driveway. I looked up and seen a beautiful ball of blue metal like plasma ball falling from the sky with little spatters coming off of it. Straight down from Perseus in the NNW direction, which at 2:30 am was already west of the meridian. It lit up the whole sky I was bummed out I did not see the whole thing. I believe it was a Perseid the second I saw that night. That was a great end to a good night. Orion was looking good to. Very cool. Clear skies, Kurt Correction that was a Taurid fireball. |
