Remarks | I was driving my car East and turned my head North, due to something bright catching my attention. That is when the sighting began. There was very light cloud cover, behind which the fireball appeared, and the blue and green hues from the meteor lit the clouds blue and green fairly widely. The tail was bright orange and, at its longest I would estimate occupied about 1/8 of the sky's diameter, from horizon to horizon. Due to the clouds, I'm not sure if there was a smokey trail. Due to music playing and my windows being up, I am not sure if there was any sound. |
