Experience Level | 2/5 |
Remarks | Having never seen something like this before I was rather surprised. It's short duration, unusual color and the lack of sound left me wondering what I had seen. Due to this and the conditions of my surroundings, I have tried to offer an accurate description especially of it's trajectory and place in the sky relative to the horizon but am concerned it is not as accurate as I'd like it to be. It definitely occurred South of me, and it started higher than it ended. While I had a clear (yet brief) view, my view was accidental and my peripheral vision congested by trees and buildings so my specific feedback of it's placement while honest and generally true, may not be perfect. I look forward to seeing whether others saw the same thing and any information I can learn. |

Terminal flash | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Brief flash like the lighting of a flare or the launch of a firework that burned out quickly but larger and with a definite trajectory. |
Fragmentation | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Remarks | There was a sense of fragmentation, but the brevity of the burn of the main piece itself was even shorter for the fragments. Fragmentation would seem to have been very small pieces falling behind it rather than breaking off in new directions. |
