Remarks I know fireballs are very rare which is why I consider this one important. I saw one similar to this in pretty much the exact same place about 1 year ago. I reported that one, too. It struck me as quite amazing when I considered the probability of seeing 2 in the same area. I don't recall the exact month when I saw the last one but I'm relatively sure it was about a year ago. I do scan the skies regularly, though. Each time I take my dog out I am looking to the stars.

Remarks It looked similar to a comet's tail only very bright. It was breaking apart as it descended leaving small fragments, which would just burn out, behind it. It continued to break apart until it was gone.
