Observer
Name Melissa G
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks It looked so close that I actually slowed down to brace for impact. We have an airport nearby so I thought maybe it was a plane on fire at first, but it was round, and didn't look man-made. I thought for sure that it was going to crash into the neighborhood nearby. When I didn't feel anything hit, I rolled down my window and turned down the radio. I didn't hear anything, but I swear I could smell some sort of burning scent in the air.

Remarks The sky was very dark (not a lot of lights around the park that I was next to), but the smoke looked slightly maroon in contrast. It was hard to tell how long it was or about how long it lasted because I was driving about 40mph at the time. My view was partially obstructed by my car, and the trees.
