Reports Report 1420bo (Event 1420-2015)

Observer
Name L.A. C
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Yes, this was the second one I've seen, but the first was almost 10 years ago. Beautiful cascading arced fan tail, progressively growing, streaking above the horizon, skipping like a stone on a lake. It was wonderful, occurring at either 1:30-1:31, but it was 1:31 when it was over. Very lengthy experience to say the least.

Delayed Sound
Observation No
Remarks -
Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 3s
Length 30°
Remarks The train flowed out from the fireball like a long thick comet, like the fanning tail in the wake of a fish in a stream, remaining in the atmosphere as the object progressed for several seconds. The streak was almost as beautiful as the object itself.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks The object progressed as I faced 350 degrees to about 37 degrees (using my iphone compass). The object streamed, skipped, catapulted, flashed red, skipped yellow and seemed to veer off the horizon leaving poofs of "smoke."
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks The flash occurred when the object appeared to break the darkness of the horizon, "skip" to red flash, then a subsequent yellow one. For a few seconds it appeared like two objects.
