Remarks | I am a former Marine F-4N aviator, FAC, Artillery FO, and NGF spotter, and a 10 year DEA pilot, retired with two tours at Camp Leatherneck after. I have seen rockets, missiles, and HIMARS from all angles. Sitting stuck in traffic watching the night sky, and the initial thought was a comparison to videos of patriots terminating, and my bools boola's in training. But the angle and guessed altitude was similar to a shooting star. Looking East from hwy 290 overpass of hwy 6. Reentry was from North to South at a 15 degree angle increasing after the flash to an 18 degree angle. Full moon, clear night sky. No clue on distance but over 100 miles. Brighter than looking straight up through pvs-14's at shooting stars. |
